Main task - Evaluation

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
I feel that I have developed hugely with my filming as in my preliminary task I had made many mistakes. For example whilst filming the conversation between two characters, my group and I only used a two shot rather than using a range of different angle shots.

Two-shot throughout the whole conversation.
On the other hand, in our main film we have used a wide variety of different shots and angles and I believe this is successful in creating enigma and mystery. Another mistake we had made in the preliminary is one of the shots from the door as this made it feel like a point of view from the door.

After walking through the door, seems as if the shot is a point of view shot of the door
I have also learnt how crucial the timings are and how important it is to stick to the storyboard so that when filming and editing it is easier to follow as each frame had timings and also our storyboard included exactly what we wanted and needed to be shown in our mise-en-scene, which was helpful as we made sure that what was not needed was seen in the mise-e-scene. My skill in filming developed especially in continuity and creativity as in my preliminary task the continuity was not excellent. During our main task, we were very careful to not make these errors again, which I think we accomplished successfully.
