Main task - Evaluation

What have you learnt about the technologies from the process of constructing this product?

We created our two-minute film by using a HD video camera to create a HD quality to make it clearer to watch and then importing it easily and quickly onto Final Cut Pro.

HD digital video camera.

We used Final Cut Pro, for editing as this helped us organise our film in the correct order we wanted and allowed us to change it around, cut it and add in effects such as transitions. We also added sound into our film, which Final Cut Pro allowed us to add in. We used various transitions to make our film interesting and the use of transitions helped the flow of clip to clip. As well as giving it a professional look. By using Final Cut Pro it allowed us to change the speed of some of our clips for example we increased the speed of our first two opening clips as originally they were too slow. We used text to create our titles for our film, by doing this we had to test around the different functions to find the correct fonts and movement of texts as this makes an impact on the film, as it has to fit in with the genre of the movie.

How we added in our transitions for our film.

How we added our text for our titles.

Our toolbar to cut clips from our timeline and the pointer to re-arrange our clips.
In addition, I have also learnt the use of blogs on the internet, which we had used to put up our planning and research. This allowed us to store our information safely and make it accessible at anytime to refer back to whilst filming if we needed to. By using the blog, it also allowed us to edit, delete posts which came in useful.
